7Med Ltd provides secure digital infrastructure for NHS organisations, including the Centralised MESH Distribution Platform used to transmit clinical correspondence (such as outpatient letters) between NHS Trusts and GP practices.

What Data We Collect

The personal data we process includes:

Patient name
NHS number
Date of birth
Address
GP practice information
Clinical document metadata
Letter content (as PDF attachments)

We do not collect data directly from patients. All data is received from NHS Trusts via secure integration systems.

We process this data to:

Support secure and timely delivery of clinical correspondence
Ensure auditability, delivery tracking, and error handling
Enhance data accuracy (e.g. via demographic lookup where permitted)

Our lawful basis for processing is:

Who We Share Data With

We only share personal data with:

GP practices (via MESH delivery)
NHS Spine (for demographic lookups where required)

We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
